Nasdaq 100 Historical Intraday Data

The Nasdaq 100 Historical Intraday Data package is Kibot's pre-assembled bundle of every stock that has been a component of the Nasdaq 100 across the package's coverage window. The Nasdaq 100 is the largest 100 non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market by modified market cap (the index excludes financials by design), and it is rebalanced annually in December with quarterly adjustments. Files are tab-delimited CSV in the same on-disk format as every other Kibot order, with one row per minute of regular-session trading.

What the package contains

As of the 13 May 2026 list refresh, the package ships 168 listed symbols totalling about 17 GB uncompressed, plus 58 delisted symbols totalling about 4 GB. The listed count is well above 100 because the bundle is a union of every ticker that has been a Nasdaq 100 constituent across the coverage window: the index has had high turnover since 1998 (acquisitions, voluntary delistings, the dot-com era flush, MNPI-driven removals), and Kibot keeps every member's file in the same package rather than splitting by snapshot date.

Most large-cap files start on 2 January 1998, the earliest date in Kibot's intraday archive. Newer constituents start at their IPO or first-coverage date: NVDA from 22 January 1999, AMZN from 2 January 1998, GOOGL from 19 August 2004, GOOG (Class C) from 27 March 2014, META from 18 May 2012 (IPO), TSLA from 29 June 2010, AIRBNB from 10 December 2020, MRNA from 7 December 2018, CrowdStrike from 20 July 2012, DataDog from 19 September 2019, DoorDash from 9 December 2020, MongoDB from 19 October 2017, and Constellation Energy (CEG) from 19 January 2022.

Intervals and history depth

The headline product is 1-minute bars. The same constituent list is also sold in higher-resolution variants and in different aggregation layers; a Premium subscription unlocks API access to every interval Kibot publishes for the symbols in this list.

The full 168-name roster shipped with the package also includes notable delisted-but-retained names (Bed Bath & Beyond, SanDisk, Genzyme), and historical tickers that turned over after rebalances (Mattel, Hasbro, Logitech, Vodafone, Teva, Ryanair, NetApp, Seagate, Whole Foods, Symantec, and many others).

The index itself: NDX, IXIC, and QQQ

This package contains component stocks only, not the Nasdaq 100 index level. The distinction was a sharp source of confusion in 2011 (a customer noticed that Kibot's COMPQ series matched the Nasdaq Composite ^IXIC and not the Nasdaq 100 ^NDX), and the resolution still matters today:

  • ^NDX, the Nasdaq 100 index level itself. Sold as part of the Indexes and Indicators bundle (~350 series); not in this package.
  • ^IXIC, the Nasdaq Composite index level (all Nasdaq-listed stocks, much wider than NDX). Also in Indexes and Indicators; distinct from NDX, easy to mix up.
  • QQQ, the Invesco QQQ Trust ETF, which tracks NDX. Tradable, has the same daily and intraday treatment as any other US ETF in Kibot's catalog, and is the usual tradable proxy for the index.

If you need a single-instrument time series that follows the Nasdaq 100, QQQ is the practical choice. If you need the index level itself for benchmarking, order the Indexes and Indicators bundle.

Adjustments and survivorship

Every stock file is delivered in three parallel adjustment variants: fully adjusted (default), split-only adjusted, and unadjusted as printed at the exchange. See Adjusted vs unadjusted data for the back-adjustment math and the comparison with Yahoo Finance's split-only convention.

Nasdaq 100 turnover has been heavy: roughly 270 different tickers were members between 1998 and 2012, according to a 2012 customer analysis, against the 100 that are in the index at any given time. Kibot's 168 listed plus 58 delisted (226 total) covers the dominant share, but the package is not survivorship-bias-free for the full coverage window. A 2011 customer flagged that the file count looked light against their own membership-history list (Alexion, Ctrip, F5 Networks, Green Mountain Coffee, Netflix, NTAP, and similar names that had entered the index but were not in the file count at the time). Support has historically located missing files on request; if a strict reconstruction is required, cross-reference the package against an external Nasdaq 100 membership history and flag missing tickers.

File format and delivery

Files use the standard Kibot column layout documented in Data format reference: Date,Time,Open,High,Low,Close,Volume for OHLC bars, with timestamps defaulting to Eastern Time (the time zone can be changed to suit your needs). Delivery is via the four channels described in Data updates (direct download links, Kibot Agent, FTP archives, historical data API). The 1-minute archive is included in Kibot Agent's standard download flow once the package is associated with the account.

Key Takeaways

  • 168 listed plus 58 delisted symbols as of 13 May 2026; total roughly 21 GB across the 1-minute bundle.
  • Most files start 2 January 1998; later starts reflect IPO dates (NVDA 1999, NFLX 2002, GOOGL 2004, META 2012, TSLA 2010, ABNB and DASH 2020).
  • The package contains component stocks only. NDX and IXIC index levels are sold separately in Indexes and Indicators; QQQ is the tradable ETF proxy.
  • NDX (Nasdaq 100) and IXIC (Nasdaq Composite) are different series and are commonly confused; verify against ^NDX on Yahoo Finance before buying.
  • Three parallel adjustment variants ship with every constituent: fully adjusted, split-only, unadjusted.
  • Survivorship coverage is not complete. Roughly 270 tickers have been Nasdaq 100 members in the package's window; 226 are in the file count.
